The notes section of the website always caused a lot of trouble. I originally
created a couple of templates – even implemented a search engine –.
Neat and clean, as I like it. The thing was that they were blocks of texts,
somehow structured from left to right, from top to bottom, and I don’t
really get along that well with that style of organization. I gave them a last
try when a friend requested me to write about a works, and only then discovered
how painfully and how much time I spent trying to put things so that they made
sense in a linear way than actually writing the content.
So I said screw this, and what you’ll find in this section from now
on are just observations and random thoughts. They may be parts of other projects;
some of them will be highly consistent, etc. Even if some of them may sound – because
of being removed out of their original context sometimes, others just because
I was in a fascist mood when writing them – as philosophical maxims or
axioms, that was not and will never be my intention.
The important thing in my opinion is to perceive and access them as haikus,
or Zen koans. Brief pieces of poetry that you pick from the book next
to your bed before going to sleep. Opening a random page and reading a few
lines before falling asleep.

On the meaning of life, promise and meaning.
Wednesday, September 19, 2007
I once – not so
long ago – played
with these concepts, with these ideas in my mind: “the promise of meaning”.
Now that I come back to that cluster of ideas two different readings catch
my attention: 1st. That of the Promise, and 2nd, that of the Meaning.
Project NETCreep, Wednesday, September 05, 2007 (no revision at all)
I’m more than sure that will remain as the official project name. I
wanted to write these notes for several reasons, but mainly to let users know
that a lot of the stuff that you will see here I’m sure will end up...
Mental Hyperdrive. Friday, 24 August 2007 VERSION 2.1 (Revision 3 2008.08.30)
And now I read their title with different eyes: Mental Hyperdrive. Seems it
was a half conscious leap ten years into the future. Interesting.
Rule of Thumb (Opposition). Thursday, 02 August 2007
version. 3.1 (revision 2008.08.07)
I'll need to quote some sources
here but unfortunately I lost all the papers (friend's house). The ability
to use – and create – tools is the responsible
of the huge leap of the thinking capabilities of proto-humans.
Communication and Koans. (version
1.0 - friday, 24 august 2007)
Back
to the college class about communication, that statement became almost a
maxim at that time – and I think it still is up to certain extent,
yet in other, more subtle ways –
Observations. August, 2007

This

ideas....
Submachine
Gum (Sticky). Tuesday, 31 July 2007 - version. 1.9 (revision 2008.08.02)
It’s
not just how mass media controls and defines the way we perceive events, or
if we live in the hyperreal. These are just minutiae. The way we perceive and
use YouTube.com has been shaped thousands of years ago.
Transparency and the Orgy of Accesibility (version 3.2.000 - Thursday, 30
August 2007)
Observation 002 – 001 I got my first computer when I was
11 years old or so, around 1988 I think...
Everyday Enlightenment (dish washing) version 3.2.000 - Tuesday,
28 August 2007
that we are
only able to achieve Enlightenment only after a long and painful journey that
involves meditation, self–flagellation, etc. I call this point of view the " Masturbatory" way to Enlightenment
Grey
Areas and Variables (version 3.2.000 - Thursday, 30 August 2007)
Especially since our brains are not hierarchical structures where each module
leads to the next and you end up climbing and finding the pyramid's keystone.
Out
of Focus (Color Balance) (version 3.2.000 - Thursday, 30 August 2007)
redesigned website has a name, usually the subdomain where I host them. A lot
of white paper and what looked like print stuff gone wrong.
Random Thoughts about Posmopolitan Mag. (version 3.2.000 - Thursday,
30 August 2007)
That's why my emphasis in throwing that "Duchamp's Ideal Children" attitude
out of the window and accept our condition as Postmodern Artificers.
Unresponsiveness. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 version
0.5 (no revision available)
But I still haven’t seen them. They are hidden there, still inside the
camera’s memory card. Well… My hard drive crashed the next day
or so, so there was no point in downloading them into a bound to die machine...
Gravitational Fields (Sling effect). Thursday, August
30, 2007 version 0.1 (no revision)
she was something different, something artificial
built by herself. In due time, she would use his gravitational field as a sling
and escape orbit towards the unknown.
